Ballroom & Latin – Kizomba – Vintage Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston & Blues!
All classes are fun, friendly and pay-as-you-go. Complete beginners and solo dancers are always very welcome – all you really need are shoes with a smooth sole to help you turn without sticking to the floor and a smile!
As with any type of exercise, please consult your GP if your health or day to day aches/pains will affect your ability to safely participate. You are encouraged to take things at your own pace during each class, to use your own judgement and to rest whenever you need to.
COVID restrictions: Class numbers will be limited and will take place in accordance with Government guidelines. Please confirm your attendance in advance each and every week to secure your place!

Ballroom and Latin dancing is gorgeous. The Ballroom dances are the Waltz, Quickstep, Slow Foxtrot and Social Foxtrot, Tango and the beautiful Viennese Waltz. Latin dances are the Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble & the Jive! We also add in some of the popular Sequence dances too!
Monday nights – Grittleton Village Hall, Grittleton main street, Grittleton, Chippenham, SN14 6AP.
- Monday 6.30-7.30pm: Improvers, £8
- Monday 7.30-8.00pm: Guided Practice, free with any class that evening or £4 separately
- Monday 8.00-9.00pm: Intermediates, £8
- Special offer: Attend the whole evening for £12!
Friday nights – Grittleton Village Hall, Grittleton main street, Grittleton, Chippenham, SN14 6AP
- Friday 7.00-7.45pm: Beginners, £8
- Friday 7.45-8.15pm: Technique for Ballroom/Latin, free with any class that evening or £4 separately
- Followed by a Vintage dance class at 8.15pm and a Kizomba dance class at 9.15pm – attend 2 classes for £12 or attend the whole evening for £14!
Kizomba is an improvised dance – and everything about it is lovely! It originated from Angola in Africa and is gentle and cosy, characterised by smooth and grounded movements with a subtle and finely tuned lead/follow. It is beautiful to dance and the music is gorgeous!

- Other dance classes are held on the same night – attend 2 classes for £12 or the whole evening for £14! Ballroom/Latin Beginners class at 7pm, Technique class at 7.45pm, plus at Vintage dance class at 8.15pm!
For anyone interested in the vintage scene! Come along and learn the amazing dance styles from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Vintage Swing (Lindy Hop and 6 count swing), Charleston & Blues are fun and energetic dance styles; you will get to know the fundamentals in each dance while developing a great sense of style and rhythm!
