Emma looks forward to welcoming you to her dance classes – they are full of fun, laughter, friendship and lovely music. Come along anytime!
A little bit about Emma:
Emma’s first love was childhood gymnastics which led to the wonderful world of Ballroom dancing in her teens. She is now in her early 40s (eeek!) and is still in love with the movement and magic of both! She has had the privilege of studying with some fabulous teachers over the years and strives to pass on what she has learnt.
Along with teaching dancing to adults, she is delighted to teach dance and gymnastics to little ones in Primary Schools. Her gymnastics team at St Joseph’s Primary School won first place, 2 years running, in the yearly schools competition (2019, 2020) and her primary school dance group has performed twice at the Wyvern Theatre in front of sold out audiences for the Wiltshire Dance Festival (2019, 2020). She is so proud of them!
Emma has also worked with a range of clients and health professionals over the years as a Remedial Massage Therapist. This helped to develop her knowledge of the body and how it moves in relation to injury and restriction. Click here to be taken to her Massage Therapy page!
Emma’s movement qualifications:
- International Dance Teachers Association: Professional Teacher of Dance qualified to teach both Ballroom Dancing and Latin-American Dancing.
- British Gymnastics: Primary School Gymnastics Teacher
- British School of Yoga: Children’s Yoga Teacher (current study)
- Enhanced DBS
- Holds a valid Music Licence with PPL/PRS Ltd to play music as a Dance Teacher
Emma suffered a life changing head injury in May 2016 and really understands the need to learn and move at your own unique pace. She loves learning about dance history and the dances and music of other cultures. She spends her free time with her rescue animals (her gorgeous fur-family) and caring for all of the wildlife in her garden ❤ ❤ ❤
